During the winter, it is nearly impossible to use your outdoor grill. And if you live in an apartment, it’s almost impossible to grill in general. That’s why we suggest getting a cast iron grill pan. This pan is the perfect replacement for an averaged outdoor grill. Keep in mind that this pan is different from regular fry pans. Today, we’re going to teach you how to use your new favorite cooking accessory.
There are two different sizes of these pans. There are also round or square models. The larger pans all come with deep ridges as well as a flat griddle surface.
Healthy Cooking: Everytime that you cook with your cast iron cookware, you will add pure natural iron minerals into your food. This is a great addition to meals, especially those who need iron supplements. You can use these pans to cook steak, burgers, pork, sausages, and chicken. But, meat isn’t the only thing you can cook, you can also cook breakfast using the griddle side as well!
Durability: Known as the King of Cookware, this skillet is much more durable and high quality compared to other models. It is also able to withstand high temperatures which means you can cook using a higher heat.
Easy to Clean: What more could you ask for?
Versatility: One of the best things about this pan is how versatile it is. You can use it on almost all heat sources, including electric, gas, ceramic, induction, halogen, and even on a campfire. You can also use it in your oven as the pan can withstand those temperatures as well.
Ridges: The ridges on Cast Iron grill pans are much higher than other non-stick models. The reason for this is the way that the pan is made. Most non-stick pans are made of a single aluminum sheet and would deform or tear if the ridgers were too high. The cast iron pans are made of single pieces of aluminum that are at least 0.2 inch high ridges which help them withstand the higher cooking temperatures.
Price: Compared to other grill pans, models made of cast iron are much cheaper, which is the perfect reason to get one.
Maintenance: When you buy non-stick pans, there are rarely any problems while cleaning them. You have the option of just wiping the pan clean with paper towels, or you can make a mixture of salt and water to scrub off the leftovers with. However, when you buy cast iron pans, you need to wash it thoroughly, rinse it in soapy water and then make sure to dry it completely to avoid rust. You also should oil it after every use.
