Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sliders

Another great recipe for your slow cooker!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 4lb pork shoulder roast
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 extra large onion, chopped
  • 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
  • 2 tablespoons butter, or as needed
Steps:
  1. 1 Pour vegetable oil into bottom of a slow cooker on high heat
  2. 2 Add pork roast into cooker, pour in barbeque sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth
  3. 3 Stir in brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, garlic, and thyme.
  4. 4 Cover and cook for about 5 to 6 hours or until roast shreds easily with fork
  5. 5 Remove roast from slow cooker and shred meat using two forks. Return meat to cooker and stir meat into the juices
  6. 6 Butter both halves of hamburger buns with butter. Toast buns with butter side down in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown
  7. 7 Spoon cooked pork into toasted buns and serve
